It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane….NO! It’s Super Potato

Opened last fall in Las Vegas was the Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace. The project was a design by the Japanese firm Super Potato ( and as with many of their projects glass is very prevalent as room dividers. In this case the room dividers were made up of 3/4″ low iron tempered glass, but what makes these partitions come alive are the countless number of small pieces of glass in varying thicknesses that are chemically bonded to the 3/4″ material. Both sides of the 3/4″ substrate have smaller pieces of glass chemically bonded to the face and stacked on top of each other. In all there was roughly 25,000 individual pieces of smaller glass that were glued in grids and overlapped patterns. Next time you are in Las Vegas go take a look. It is a one of a kind installation done by Pulp Studio.

The project took three months to build the glass portion and was installed by Mueller Custom Cabinetry, Inc. for W.A Richardson Construction.

Today was a Good Day

There is an old expression that “you do something good for somebody and they tell nobody, and you do something bad and they tell everybody”.

Well today we got an e-mail from a customer who had this to say in his correspondence, “I want to thank you and your company for all your time and effort you put into making this job happen in such a timely manner. I have had a good experience with Pulp Studio and will definitely be a returning customer.”

Well, he just told us, so we decided to tell everybody and put the kibosh on this old saying. Today was a good day!

Hittin the Road?

Service as a whole new meaning here at Pulp Studio when our Customer Service Manager, Jean Kim, took a part time job as an ABF driver to make sure our products are delivered on time and in one piece. As one company associate whispered “we are doomed”.
