Latest Happenings at Pulp Studio HQ in Los Angeles, CA

Pulp Studio, Los Angeles, CA

All the staff took a time out Friday afternoon to have a little Halloween costume fun and a cook out. Rarely do we turn the phones off in the middle of the day, but today was an exception.

In attendance was Mario, Cruella de Vil, Foxy Brown and an assortment of other creative folks. The unofficial award for best effort was to the guys in the shop who came in, worked four hours, and quickly changed into their costumes just before the event. In all we had about 25 contestants for Best Costume and 8 different awards were given out. The winners got cash and the losers got chocolates.

Most importantly we all got to eat together and take a short break. Before you turn around it will be Thanksgiving, so GOBBLE GOBBLE your way through November.

Label It a Success

We recently finished a project for labeling giant Avery Dennison in Glendale, California. The wall image logo panels utilized graphic SentryGlas® Expressions™ Technology on both the flat and bent panel, and the handrails and table tops were produced with tempered Pintura back coated materials. The design by HOK, Los Angeles and was installed by Town and Country Glass of Signal Hill.

New Salespeople Tourists Arrive in Los Angeles

Recent additions to the Pulp Studio staff are our two new salespeople. Katie Grimes, now covers Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia, along with Chris Harris who covers Texas and Oklahoma. They have been in Los Angles for two weeks doing their technical and administrative training, but had time to see the sites too. The reality is only tourists ever do this. I doubt I can find anybody I know from Los Angeles whoever made the hike to the Hollywood sign. If you see either of these two in the near future I am sure they will have a story to tell about their adventure. Apparently their route to the sign was not as direct as it could have been. Welcome to our new sales associates.

Coming to movie theater near you!!

GLO Lightwall as it is used to illuminate the portals and bar die at a local Cinetopia theater. Installed by Janssen Glass & Mirror Inc. of Overland Park Kansas while the job was specified by Karen Rains in the great northwest. GLO utilizes a low profile thickness to create well balanced light with no hot spots.

Welcome To Springfield

We received some job shots for the Springfield Clinic in Illinois from O’Brien Glass who is located in Springfield. The job uses Sentryglas Expressions technology with a gradient fade into the actual artwork. The project was specified by Bill Zientarski and his team and represents a perfect application for this type of product. In my research about Springfield clinic I didn’t find a specific piece of information to share with you about the clinic, but I did find this great recipe on their website. Check it out.
